Superman’s Pal, Jimmy Olsen Vol 1 #92 – Jimmy vs. Alien Crime Lord!
Superman’s Pal, Jimmy Olsen #92 (April 1966), by Leo Dorfman with Pete Costanza’s art, is a suspenseful Silver Age thriller. Jimmy Olsen catches an imposter breaking into his apartment, subdues him with suspended animation, and tracks the criminal group S.C.A.R., led by the sinister Mr. Nero. Nero, an alien plotting to incinerate Earth, implants a kill device in Jimmy, forcing him to obey. Nero orders Jimmy and doubles of Superman’s allies to assassinate Superman and Supergirl with Kryptonite. Jimmy betrays Nero, alerting Superman, who storms S.C.A.R.’s headquarters. The destruct device only renders Jimmy invisible and unconscious, not dead. Superman defeats Nero, who self-destructs in defeat, and Jimmy is revived.
