Superboy Vol 1 #136 (March 1967), with stories by Otto Binder and art by George Papp, is a dynamic Silver Age issue featuring two tales. In “Superboy Visits the 50th Century!” (reprinted from Adventure Comics #279), a scientist’s time-probe pulls Superboy to the 50th Century, where skeptics doubt his existence. Krypto, Superboy, and the SCPA (including Mammoth Miss and Tusky Husky) face a trap by Black Cat World felines and Phantom Zone cats led by Tricky Tom. Krypto realizes he’s the endangering “hound,” but a young autograph hunter, the “autograph hound,” saves them.
