What is FOC?

FOC stands for Final Order Cutoff. Every week, publishers (Marvel, DC, Image, Boom, etc.) set a deadline —every Monday at (11:30PM EST/8:30pm PST)about 4-6 weeks before a comic’s release— called the Final Order Cutoff (FOC).

• FOC Day is the last day comic shops and online retailers like VCK can order copies from the distributor.
• Once FOC passes, the publisher locks in the print run and prints exactly how many copies were ordered.
• After FOC, it is extremely difficult (and often impossible) to get additional copies printed.

Release Date vs FOC Date

• FOC Date = The deadline to guarantee your copy. FOC IS ALWAYS ON MONDAY
• Release Date = The week the comic actually arrives in stores and ships to customers. RELEASE IS ALWAYS ON WEDNESDAY

Example: A comic with a Release Date of WED Aug 19th might have an FOC Date of MON July 20th. You must order by MON July 20th to be sure you get it.

If you forget, please feel free to reach out and we can add split shipping for the cost of standard shipping. PRE-ORDER BOOKS: Pre-Order Books ship to arrive on or after the in-store/on-sale date. Books with the same FOC Pre-Order deadline may not have the same on-sale/in-store date. Check each listing for "in-store/on-sale" dates- most books keep their original dates but publisher's have the ability to move them back. We will do our best to monitor any changes to release dates and update the titles here at VegasComics.com. We encourage you to check the publisher's website for the most up-to date information.

(IN STOCK BOOKS) Same-day Shipping: Every single (in-stock) order ships the same day it's placed! Whether you order at noon or midnight, we'll provide a tracking number and get your package on its way within 12 hours. Just be sure to order before 12:30 PM PST / 3:30 PM EST so the post office can process it that day!

Bagged & Boarded: Every single comic is shipped bagged and boarded for maximum protection.

Package Padding: Orders ship in an American-Made comic book mailer secured with an exterior padded envelope. STANDARD shipping comes with x2 layers of exterior padding, PRIORITY comes with x3 layers of padding. NM/NM+ ship in x3 layers of exterior padding + interior padding.

Mylar Protection for High-Grade Books: All NM/NM+ books are shipped in industry-leading Mylar bags with double-thick backing boards. They also ship with a front and back external backing board to protect your collectibles!

Track Your Haul: Every order comes with tracking so you can follow your books all the way home.

We stand behind our pre-orders with this simple promise: If we do not ship your pre-ordered item during its official release week—and we have it in stock— you will receive:

• The comic book(s) you ordered, plus
• $10 VCK Digital Gift Card credit per line item

Gift Card Details:

• Issued automatically to your VCK email used to check-out
• Expires 1 year from the date it is issued
• Can be used on anything in our store (shipping, new comics, back issues, merch, etc.)

Important Exceptions No $10 credit will be issued if the delay is caused by someone else. This includes:

• Publisher delays or push-backs
• Distributor delays
• Shipping carrier delays
• Applies to FOC 07/20/26 and beyond

We will provide clear proof of the delay (publisher/distributor announcement, tracking info, etc.) so you know exactly why your book is late.

These are the best available copies (few are delivered in NM/NM+ condition from the distributor) This designation guarantees that your book is going to ship protected and bagged in industry leading Mylar and double thick backing boards meaning it is ready for display (mylar plastic bags block 99% of UV light rays which wear the color off books) or permanent safekeeping (mylar will outlive you and doesn't need to be replaced every 7 years like CGC Slabs or 10 years like other regular PCP bags!)

Again, it will be backed by the VCK Grading Guarantee which is a promise it will grade in a NM/NM+ or you get to keep the book and get a partial refund!
