Vampirella Hosts Blood Drive on Fremont Street, Promises "Unforgettable Experience"

Las Vegas, NV -  Iconic comic book vampire Vampirella has announced a blood drive on Fremont Street to promote her long-awaited debut to VegasComics.com.

Organizers are expecting a large turnout, with many donors eager to meet the comic book legend.  Local celebrities turned out to show their support.  Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, was seen accepting orange slices after donating several ounces of glowing green AB+ blood. Dr. Doom, the well-known organic food advocate, is also rumored to have donated 17 cases of Capri Sun for volunteers and donors alike- although many soured on the gesture when it was discorvered he ordered the sugar-free variety. "A lot of people think I can't let loose because of the whole vegan thing- I'm really trying to shake that perception- they key is moderation, just don't go overboard" advised the leader of Latveria.

However, some have expressed concerns about the safety of the event. "I'm not sure I'm comfortable donating blood to a vampire," said one potential donor. "What if she gets a taste for human blood and decides to turn me into one of her undead minions?"

Vampirella has dismissed these concerns, assuring donors that her thirst for blood is purely metaphorical. "Ever since I moved to Henderson, I've become a vegetarian," she said. "I only drink tomato juice now!" Vampirella herself will be on hand to greet donors, offer them a complimentary glass of "red nectar," and, for a small fee, pose for photos.

"I've always been a big believer in giving back to the community," Vampirella said in a statement. "And what better way to do that than by helping to replenish the local blood supply? Plus, it's a great opportunity for people to experience a little bit of the undead lifestyle."

Despite the concerns, the "Night of Eternal Life" is expected to be a huge success. After all, who wouldn't want to say they donated blood to Vampirella?
